Thailand
October 28 - November 6, 2005
Participants enhanced their knowledge and understanding of Thai culture, educational system, history, as well as social, economic and political developments through lectures/presentations, formal and informal meetings with educators and government officials, and cultural excursions.

The speakers and resource personnel are established professionals in their areas of expertise. Coordinated with the presentation on the development of community colleges in Thailand was a visit to Pichit Community College. In addition to Bangkok, the program included visits to landmark cities rich in history and culture: Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, and Chiang Mai. Participants had opportunities to establish connections with organizations and agencies such as the Institute of International Education (Southeast Asia), Bureau of Thai Community College Administration, and U.S. Embassy, Thailand.
